Hi! I’m Laura — a happy-go-lucky designer, adventure seeker, and travel-loving creative based in beautiful Colorado Springs. I’m part nerd, part adrenaline junkie, and completely obsessed with exploring new places, chasing mountain views, and finding beauty in both the big adventures and the small moments.
When I’m not behind my laptop designing websites, editing photos, or writing blog posts with a latte in hand, you can usually find me outside — hiking alpine trails, climbing granite walls, skiing powder days, or exploring backroads on our adventure bikes. I’m all about balance: half creative brain, half wild wanderer.
I’ve been working as a graphic and web designer since 2004, and since 2020 I’ve been part of the amazing team at Moxie Tonic Marketing, where I handle all things visual design and web. These days, my creative outlet also spills over into my Etsy shop, where I sell fun print-on-demand designs inspired by animals, nature, and adventure.
My husband, Mike, is my best friend, adventure partner, and all-around superhero. He’s smart, funny, can fly both helicopters and planes, and somehow manages to fix literally anything — cars, plumbing, you name it. Together we share our home with our two cats: Tia (aka Bean, Bean Rat, Bean Bunny) and Reese (aka Speed Devil, Dirty Rat, Rat-Cat). They keep us endlessly entertained, whether we’re home editing photos or packing for our next trip.
Before planting roots in Colorado, we spent several years bouncing around the globe thanks to Mike’s time in the Army. Every few years meant a new home, new friends, and new adventures — but our favorite stop by far was Japan. The food, the culture, the people… it was unforgettable and completely changed how I see the world.
Now that our Army days are over, Colorado feels like the perfect basecamp. We’ve been in Colorado Springs since 2018, and we love the easy access to the mountains and endless opportunities for adventure — from weekend road trips and camping under the stars to hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and getting lost (on purpose) on dirt roads.
Life’s an adventure, and I’m just here to soak it all in — one trail, one photo, and one good story at a time.
Round and round we go… where we stop, nobody knows. But that’s the fun part, isn’t it?
